Why a Public Health Care System Does Not Work (in Only 62 Words)
Why a public health care system does not work:To meet budget targets, governments reduce payments to providers and to buy equipment. This reduces the supply of people willing to provide health care services (doctors, nurses, medical staff and support) and the supply of equipment (hospital beds, diagnostic tools, etc.). Shortages develop, and those who are sick or injured, suffer.Read this story about Medicaid coverage not leading to health care for an example of this in real life, and be aware as you do that the same dynamic is an increasing problem for American seniors enrolled in Medicare.
They find themselves with health care coverage, but without health care.
