Speakers Bureau: Oscar Murdock

Oscar MurdockOscar Murdock is a member of the national advisory council of the Project 21 black leadership network. Now a proud U.S. citizen, Oscar is a native of Costa Rica.

A tea party activist, Oscar was featured prominently in a photo of a Tea Party Express rally in Searchlight, Nevada in March of 2010.

In 2012, Oscar represented the National Center for Public Policy Research at the annual shareholder meeting of Time Warner, Inc. As was widely-reported after the meeting, Oscar challenged Time Warner chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes to explain how the political extremism of actor Morgan Freeman might have impacted the box office receipts of a film Freeman was promoting when he attacked conservatives and tea party activists.

Now retired, Oscar was involved in the early days of computer development and worked with large room-size mainframe computers as opposed to today’s personal laptop models. He is the father of Project 21 spokesman and syndicated columnist Deroy Murdock — a founding member of the organization.
