DAVID ALMASI

Vice President
David Almasi

Starting as an intern in 1987, David Almasi previously served as executive director and director of media for the National Center for Public Policy Research before becoming the organization’s vice president in 2017. He also serves as the staff director for the National Center’s Project 21 black leadership network.

A veteran of the Washington, D.C. non-profit industry, David has served in media and communications roles for Defenders of Property Rights, Putting People First and Accuracy in Academia. He was also a communications and marketing strategist for URAC – a health care accreditation group.

David’s commentaries have appeared in publications such as the Washington Post, Washington Times, Houston Chronicle, Detroit Free Press, Miami Herald, Philadelphia Inquirer and Orlando Sentinel. He has been a guest on the Fox News Channel and One America News.

He is also co-author, with David Ridenour, of the 1990 book Nicaragua’s Continuing Revolution (Signal Books). He is the co-author, with Council Nedd II, of Does America Hate God? Faith Under Fire (CreateSpace).

He is the chairman of the Moose Legion for Lodge #1076 in Franconia, Virginia.

David is a 1989 graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science with a specialization in both American government and comparative political systems. He was a recipient of the Evans Scholarship, which is awarded to golf caddies with a “strong caddie record, excellent grades, outstanding character and demonstrated financial need.”

David is a native Chicagoan who knows that you don’t put ketchup on hot dogs and that the best pizza is actually thin-crust pub-style (with sausage) found on the South Side. He now lives in Northern Virginia with his wife, Nancy, and their two puppies – Gilby and Gracie.
